Influence of Non-Thermal Atmospheric Pressure Plasma Jet on Extracellular Activity of α-Amylase in Aspergillus oryzae

چکیده

In a previous study, we found that plasma can enhance spore germination and α-amylase secretion in A. oryzae, beneficial fungus used fermentation. To confirm this, the current investigated effects of on development using an enlarged sample size different source: jet. There was ~10% (p < 0.01) increase upon non-thermal atmospheric pressure jet (NTAPPJ) treatment for 5 min 10 min, as compared with control (no treatment). The activity detected potato dextrose broth (PDB) media during incubation significantly elevated plasma-treated samples, more obvious 15 treatments 24–96 h periods. levels oxidation reduction potential (ORP) NOX (nitrogen oxide species) were higher samples than suggesting these two variables could serve standard indicators enhancing after treatment. Genome sequencing analysis showed approximately 0.0016–0.0017% variations (changes 596–655 base pairs out total 37,912,014 pairs) genomic DNA sequence oryzae Our results suggest NATPPJ extracellular α-amylase, probably by increasing ORP to optimum level.

Effect of Heavy Atoms on the Thermal Stability of α-Amylase from Aspergillus oryzae

Currently, there are no versatile and established methods for improving stability of proteins. In an entirely different approach from conventional techniques such as mutagenesis, we attempted to enhance enzyme stability of α-amylase from Aspergillus oryzae using a heavy-atom derivatization technique. We evaluated changes in stability using differential scanning calorimetry (DSC). Candidate heav...

Effect of non-thermal atmospheric pressure plasma on MDA-MB-231 breast cancer cells

Cold atmospheric plasma (CAP) has received great attention due to its noteworthy ability, and has also been widely studied over few decades in physics, biology and medicine. The purpose of this study is to evaluate the cold atmospheric pressure plasma effects on the proliferation of breast cancer cells. MDA-MB-231 was used for this experiment. MDA-MB-231 cells were cultured in 24-well plate and...

In vitro Assessment of Antiviral Activity of Cold Atmospheric Pressure Plasma Jet against the Human Immunodeficiency Virus (HIV)

Introduction: The human immunodeficiency virus (HIV) is a threat to global health and the need for finding new methods of antivirus research, in particular against HIV has increased in recent years. In this study, we investigated the ability of the cold atmospheric pressure plasma jet (CAPPJ) using helium to inhibit the replication of HIV virions. Methods: Single cycle replicable HIV (SCR-HIV) ...

Molecular Effects of Atmospheric Pressure Plasma Jet on the Double-Stranded DNA

Introduction The aim of this study was toinvestigate the sterilization potential of atmospheric pressure plasma jet (APPJ) and interactions of this technology with double-stranded DNA using the polymerase chain reaction (PCR) and single-strand conformation polymorphism (SSCP) techniques. Materials and Methods The plasma jet was produced through a high voltage sinusoidal power supplyusing a mixt...

Insulating Material Erosion in Atmospheric Non- Thermal Plasma Jet Device

This paper reports on the selection of insulating material types in a developed atmosphericpressure non-thermal plasma jet (ANPJ-II) device which was operated previously in our laboratory based on the minimum erosion area of the insulator’s nozzle. Three identical insulator groups used in our experiment include; Teflon insulator material with different thicknesses of 1.5 mm and 2 mm respectivel...
